What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of black cats? Superstition? Halloween? Bad luck?
Not me. The first thing that comes to mind is our adorable boys, Bebo and Teto. These two made me fall in love with felines, and I don’t know what I’d do without them in my life.
Black cats get a lot of bad rep. They are adorable fluff balls filled with independence (and, in Teto’s case, a fair bit of stupidity bless him), yet so many people are wary of them. Year after year I have to put a post up telling people to look after their pets at Halloween, but especially black cats, as they become easy targets for people who want to cause harm. How many times have you seen a child dress up as a white cat on Halloween? 99% of the costumes are black cats.
These felines are absolutely gorgeous, yet they are also supposedly bad luck. They majority of cats in animal shelters are indeed black. I honestly don’t get it.
I don’t have a lot more to say on the topic, other than to show you why I love these animals so much. They are just beautiful, and how I managed without them I just don’t know.
